Mhair S. Dekmezian

I will attempt to give a bit of information about me, for those who are curious (although I'm not sure why would care that much).

I was born in Houston, TX and have lived here for all of my 19 years. I attended AOS up to 6th grade, after which I transferred to St. John's School, where I graduated in 2004. I am currently an undergrad at Rice University, studying as a biochemistry major.

Perhaps the most prominent of my interests is computing. These days, I run Linux nearly exclusively on my computers. In high school, I helped administer the student-run server charon, as well as occasionally giving small lectures to other students covering various computing topics such as bash/linux usage and basic perl programming.

Whenever I have time, I like to try small programming projects for whatever interests me at that moment. I will try to publish whatever I can under the computing section of my site.

I also am quite interested in music, in various forms. I have played the piano since the first grade (although my playing doesn't necessarily show it). I have sang in various school choirs for many years as well. During the summer, I serve as the organist at St. Kevork Armenian Church.

I also enjoy photography. I mainly use a Nikon D70 DSLR for my work.
